Shanghai Pudong Airport to Yiwu City Yiwu airport is not an international airport, so many foreign traders and wholesalers who come to yiwu should come to shanghai, the largest city in China first. First arrive at Shanghai Pudong international airport, then go to Yiwu city by train or by bus. There are many trains on a given day that run from Shanghai to Yiwu. Some of them originate from Shanghai; the test come from other cities, go through Shanghai and make a stop in Yiwu. You should be able to find a train that fits your schedule. Sometimes, however, train tickets can be hard to come by, but given that Yiwu is not all that far from Shanghai (about 2-4 hours by train), it should not be too much of a problem. Trains coded with "D" is fastest trains, Trains coded with "T" or "K" are faster trains; you want to get on those and may also want to get a "soft seat", which is more comfortable. A berth does not seem to be necessary as the ride is just a few hours. You can purchase train tickets a few days in advance if you have someone help you. Related link: SHANGHAI to YIWU by train Buses leave Shanghai for Yiwu starting about 8:00 pm; the latest seem to be around 5:30 pm. These buses leave at a number of long distance bus stations, including Shanghai Qiche Zongzhan (Shanghai Central Bus Station, which is located in next to Shanghai Raiway Station); Hengfeng Qiche Zhan (Hengfeng Bus Station, at 710 Hengfeng Road); Keyun Zongzhan (General Passenger Bus Station, at 1662 Zhongxing Road); Bashi Hutai (Bus Hutai, at 1015 Zhongshan North Road). With buses, generally you show up, buy a ticket and go with the next bus available. Some buses are nicer than others (express, air-conditioned, freeway-using, etc.), so you may want to pay attention to what sort of bus service you're looking at.
